Hood Connections started as a local one page publication in Cleveland, Ohio. The initial purpose of the company was to bridge the gap between the minority business community and the residents of the city. HC publications provided FREE and low cost advertising and promotional opportunities for money strapped 'urban-prenuers'. Over the years, thru various projects, Hood Connections began to shift into the direction of entertainment and artist development.

In May 2008, K. Lexi began the Hood Connected Radio broadcast on BlogTalkRadio. This new project sparked the whole Hood Connected Networking Movement. A networking circle began to flourish! The new radio show allowed those in the industry and entering to network with like minded individuals , share thoughts and ideas, and promote themselves without leaving home! Many collaborations were made and several careers boosted.
